#oh #oh boy here we go guys #take a seat and buckle up #because i’m about to take y’all on a one-way trip aboard the feels express #because sweet merciful krishna these two just hit me right in the goddamn tender feels so much that i need all of you to share my agony #first off: for all the praise tumblr heaps on to hiddles (rightly so) poor chris gets forgotten often #but poor thor here #he’s damn near close to tears #the firstborn warrior-prince of the goddamn space vikings who fears nothing in the entire known universe #is nearly in tears #is reduced to nothing but an older sibling desperately trying to coax an unruly younger brother out of a tantrum#thor’s used to solving his problems with force and stubbornness and brutality #and all these traits are powerless against loki #he might as well try to force the wind#and speaking of loki #let’s talk about loki #loki silvertongue #loki lie-smith#prince of mischief and trickery #can’t say a damn thing #he can’t even deny his brother #can’t even pretend for a moment that it’s not what he wants #he’s so conflicted and unsure every time his and thor’s desires align because isn’t thor supposed to be his enemy now? #didn’t he renounce his home? #his family?#wasn’t that the point? #how could they possibly want the same thing? #and it’s very telling of loki’s youngest-son-complex #my stupid older brother #he says

 #ugh i can hear the way thor’s voice breaks around the plea #so honest and absolute in his desires #and when loki denies that he has a home with his next breath #the amount of hurt that goes into thor’s face #into the way he raises mjolnir #and yet! still does not swing #he still speaks #i want to know what he would have said had tony not tackled him #i want to know if he would have said #you always have a home on asgard #deny it all you like brother but your place is at my side

#cries because loki laughs and smiles #he LAUGHS and SMILES #and then he looks around to see if he has to keep up that farce like always #he doesn’t have to keep the mask on and all he can do is shake his head #but thor just #he’s trying so so hard not to hurt loki #because he knows that loki won’t respond to that #and he tries to keep his cool #and he tries to be a nice guy but it’s so hard for him
